MHS’71 Turns 71! – Wallingford, CT

We reunited at age 69.

We celebrated at 70.

And as we turn 71, the MHS Class of ‘71 will mark that happy circumstance by gathering with our friends and classmates once again to share our spirit and build our legacy.

The Maloney High School Class of 1971 Alumni celebration of turning 71 years old is set for 4-9 p.m. October 19, 2024 at Violi’s II at the Wallingford Country Club.

There will be good food, a perfect chance to catch up and renew more friendships, and the ever-popular karaoke by ‘71 classmate Larry Wrinn. This year we are reminded that Just because we’re 71 doesn’t mean we can’t have fun. With that in mind we would like to go with a ’70 ‘s theme:

-Match the baby photos contest

-Larryoke games

– Photo-booth

The event will also kick off the 2024-25 fundraising campaign for the Maloney High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, which granted its first two $2,500 scholarships to graduating MHS seniors this year. There will be opportunity to support the Scholarship Fund for those who wish. No obligation, of course.

Launched by the MHS Class of 1971 and seed-funded by our gatherings in 2022 and 2023, this scholarship program is something for all of us to celebrate.

In 2022 nearly 80 people attended our 50-year reunion (OK, 51, damn you Covid!). And in 2023 a total of 94 people turned out for the MHS ’71 turns 70 mega-party.

This year we’re shooting for 100, and your classmates want YOU to be there!
